Default Eastman Blinds

My local Sam's Club has the Eastman Outfitter Carbon Venture Magnum blind for $144. I've searched the internet and it seems this blind is last year's or older model from EO. Still it's 75" tall and 77" square, much bigger than any blind I've ever hunted from and I think the price is very good considering this years model the Undercover X5 is at least $50 more everywhere else I've looked.

Does anyone have experience with this blind? I know a Double Bull Matrix is the best out there, but I can't spend $400+ on a blind this year.

I have nothing to help you. But if you purchase give it a review. I'm looking at the ASAT for $250 it got good reviews by Hardcore Hunter in side by side comparisons with double bulls.

The CV blinds are a good blind for the money. I would say you would be served well by it at that price. They were a bit cheaper last year at $118 around here but $144 ain't bad either.

Thanks for the information. I will give it a review when I buy it. When I first saw this blind I was thinking they were around $120 last year, but figured that this was a different blind. Seems strange for the price to go up that much when Eastman Outfitters doesn't even list this blind on their website anymore?

Maybe I'll ask the manager about that and see what he says. I'll let you all know how it goes .

Yeah, I paid ~$120 for mine shipped from e-bay. It served me well and is still in good shape even though it stayed in the woods over 4 months last winter. (not really a winter in Texas October was ~100f where the blind was located)

The carbon venture is the one on the right with the guillie (sp?)system-

That looks like a steal for 120.

DaveC,
Do you just shoot through that cover system? I've shot through screens before but not thrugh anything hanging in front of the blind.

No, I tied the long strands to the side of the windows and sometimes left just one going straight down the center.

Shot 2 hogs & 1 pig out of that blind last year (but not out of my backyard as posted )

Well, I finally bought one this weekend. I like the material and the window screens, the setup is pretty easy. The magnetic window covers are extremely quiet, I'm confident that I can open additional windows if needed without spooking deer. Plenty of room for me in this blind, I'm 5'9" and have no trouble moving or drawing my bow. I've taken some practice shots from it and I look forward to hunting from it next weekend. I'll update the thread again after that.
