BOWTECH... NEVER AGAIN !!
14 march 2007[/b] bought an allegiance 2007. On the day of purchased, me and the dealer noticed vibrations on the bow Found the cams to be rubbing on the branches. April 2nd[/b] send back the bow to Bowtech for exchange or repair. Mai 14[/b] ( 7 weeks later) [/b]I call Bowtech to see if they sent the bow back, but refused to answer saying that consumers cant have access to that info ??? Mai 21 st[/b] (8 weeks later),[/b] I was p1ssed…Get to make a guy from Bowtech talk and I explain to him and the situation … long delay and explain to them that I am penalised for buying a bran new defective bow. They respond, that they will replace everything on the bow except the riser, and send it back. And If I would want not to wait anymore, I[/b] would have to pay the express delivery… June 6th [/b](10 weeks later)[/b] I send a 1 day delivery express post[/i] letter personally to The Vice president of sales of Bowtech. Mr Bob Dunn. On the letter, I explained it all, and asked him what he would do to make sure I (as a consumer get the quality product I expected to pay for and to end the delays !) June 20th,[/b] (12 weeks later)[/b] I get my bow, BADELY REPAIRED with the cams so close that a piece of papercould hold between the cam and the branches. All they did was badely repair the cams. My dealer got charged 80 $ for the cams and they state a note saying that the bow and signs of dry fire ???!!!!!!!!!!! (probably a technician covering for his bad assembly mistakes. Insulted, and betrayed, I call the Bowtech warranty department to get a explanation and they refuse to talk to me.. June 22nd, [/b]I shoot 12 arrows and notice the cams are leaning… That’s it for me ! Bowtech is over . Disgusted, I bring the bow back to the dealer for him to sell it used. I will probably loose half the money but at this point I would touch a Bowtech with a 100 foot pole.[/b] I ordered a HOYT [/b] To this Day, The Vice president of sales never answered the letter…It says a lot about a company when Senior management doesn’t care about their consumers….. (Let that one ponder for a minute…)[/b][/ul] After 2 Bowtech’s, That’s the end of it …never again! Its all over the web forums, people are changing, limbs and are having problems with cams rubbing , limb torque etc… Bowtech doubled their expansion and cut their quality and service in half…Producing a lot of lemons…. Already a big buzz going around about their bad service and quality.. It’s a question of time before archers realize not to get caught up with marketing and go back to the basics of good quality bows like Hoyt and Mattews.. In all the tournaments, shooting ranges, dealers and archers I speak, everybody is refusing to follow Bowtech…. Thinking about buying a Bowtech ??? Beware, Check your cams, .. To often we get stuck on a model and get tunnel vision by neglecting to properly try out and test other bows. Stop and look around, read posts, specs, talk to archers, see who’s winning the tournaments, Look at what the champions are shooting and try other bows that are build on quality and reliability. Make sure you buy quality get a Hoyt or a Mattews, (no one is complaining about them and the champions are all shooting withthem… |
RE: BOWTECH... NEVER AGAIN !!
Cams on my 2007 Allegiance are fine.
Cams on one of my good friend's 2007 Allegiance are fine. Sorry you got a raw deal, but your shop really should have done more for you IMO. |
RE: BOWTECH... NEVER AGAIN !!
I'm having a warranty repair taken care of on my Diamond, (by Bowtech), right now. I left the bow with the dealer a couple of weeks ago and should have it back this week. I would have had it back already but for an accident at the shop. I have called Bowtech a couple of times to talk with the warranty and customer service departments. I was always given the info I was after and treated with courtesy. Yes my bow had a problem,(split limb), but what manufacturer doesn't have an occasional problem? As far as who shoots what in compitition ,well, I could care less. I'll continue to shoot what feels good to me not what someone is paid to shoot through a sponsorship deal. And some manufacturers pay alot more to have people shoot thier bows than others do. Sorry about your problem with Bowtech but after having dealings with them in the past couple of weeks I have to wonder how your end of the conversation went. EDIT: I also wonder why, if on the day of purchase, you and the dealer noticed the problem, well, why did you ever leave the store with that bow?

RE: BOWTECH... NEVER AGAIN !!
It sounds like they may have done so. I don't understand though. I've had good luck with my dealings with them. I guess I'll wait 'til the bow is back in my hands to be sure.

RE: BOWTECH... NEVER AGAIN !!
What they did to you was just wrong. [:'(]

RE: BOWTECH... NEVER AGAIN !!
Bowtech makes quality products, and all bow companies have there problems, but if your saying there customer service treated you this way then they are wrong, and since you sent a letter to one of the suits someone if not him should of contacted you

So therefore, your on a quest to try to harm bowtech as bad as possible with webposts, same as the disgusted mathews and hoyt owners. But I have yet to see a bowtech dealer have so much issues dealing with bowtech's warranty. It just doesn't sound right. |
RE: BOWTECH... NEVER AGAIN !!
I almost wonder how much of this problem took placebetween the dealer and Bowtech - before you ever came into the picture.
