RE: bowtech guardian

The one I shot was set at 65lbs and I thought it shot better than any Hoyt or Mathews that I ever shot. Theresnota bow on the market that shoots at it tested IBO.

I bought a Guardian yesterday and set it up and dialed it in last night. The draw cycle is VERY different than my Drenalin but will be easy to adjust to.

I really like it so far and am looking forward to putting more arrows thru it.

I am in love with the lack of sound (which is my #1 criteria in a hunting bow). It's whisper quiet.

I bought the Guardian 2 weeks ago and so far I am amazed. I will be switching to 65% let-off as soon as the pro shop gets in the post to change it. It should addaround 10 to 12 FPS, not like I will need it, but what the heck.

At the risk of sounding contradictory, my Vulcan does achieve the advertized IBO. I've shot it on 2 different chronos at 2 different bow shops in this area. 30"/70# 355 grain arrow.....328 fps at one bowshop and 329 fps at the other. The Vulcan is advertised at 325. I've only tested the Vulcan, Vectrix, and Guardian specd out to IBO. The Vulcan and Vectrix both achieved IBO speeds, but the Guardian didnt.

But hey, it ALWAYS comes down to what you prefer...

I'm going to have to throw a bog diagree out to doublelunginem on the Vectrix. I was 99% sureI was buying a Vectrix before I shot my Allegiance. Shot the Vectrix at 65 lbs and the Allegiance at 70 lbs. Until the Allegiance I've owned Bear bows for 25 yrs. So, there's no "allegiance" to any manufacturer.

Congrats on your new bow. I have two friends that own the Bowtech Allegiance and love it.

About 550 shots now, just over 3 weeks old and still just love it!One of my biggest surprises to date is the fact that I have not had to adjust the peep at all. Not even a slight turn to get it to line up with my eye. On my last hunting bow I was always fiddling with the peep. I use a G5 meta peep. I think this says a lot about the factory strings from Bowtech. As good a any out there. Really like the way it points and shoots. You won't be sorry in getting one.

You will not get that speed out of your bow, with a hunting set up and with out doing modifications to it.

Sapper....you in Marrero, La? I'm in Baton Rouge. Bought the bow from Bowie's. You can call up there and talk to Jay in the bow shop. He'll verify the speed of this set up. He's the one that set it up for me. No mods!!! In fact, I'll meet you up there one day and show you....lol

No need to get hostile, it is what it is....lol

I wasn't trying to be hostile! I apologize if it came out that way. I know Jay he's the one that sold me the Fred Bear thatI own.He runs a great bow shop. Thats why I drive from Marrero to Baton Rouge when ever I need something done.
