Ah Grasshoppers, you teach as well as I am learning, thank you for that. Good information.

RE: Enigma?
I wouldn't take anything away from ASAT, it is also a great pattern, but I had my 3-d suit for about three weeks and had holes all over the legs. Chuck isa first class person trying to build/makea first classcamo pattern for all seasons. This sub-forum is dedicated to bow hunting gear reviews....so hence if you're happy with your camo pattern why read this thread. The test photos that were submitted are pretty convincing to me. The same rule of thumb applies for most camo patterns, out past 30 yards and you blob out, Enigma does not do this. To each his own or her own.

RE: Enigma?
Just a quick note, all of the test photos I posted were taken at no longer than 20yds.

RE: Enigma?
PA..those are some pretty convincing pictures..wel done to boot. However to you have any that are in color. I use my camo for both bowhunting deer and turkey's as well and i am curious how it would look at a turkey's point of view at a ground level. Also in the spring for gobblers i liek to use two differnt camo colors or patterns b/c the undergrowth developes faster than the shrub growth. Lastly..will they be coming up with a greener "spring pattern"..so to speak? thanks

RE: Enigma?
jgbennett6, I do have these photos in color I will post them when I have a chance. As far as a greener pattern for the spring. Enigma is designed to be an all purpose camo pattern for use in all environments. If it helps any, a few weeks ago I snuck up on a flock of turkeys at 15yds and then the only reason they spooked was I stepped on and broke a stick. And just the other day I had a flock pass within 20yds of my stand twice, one of those times some of the birds passed directly under my stand, and they never knew I was there. I was even making movements trying to get my my camera out of my pocket and taking pictures. I posted the story and one of the pics of the turkeys on page 2 of this thread.

RE: Enigma?
It makes sense that it would work from a tree stand since it is an open pattern witha light base and you were backround in the sky.i'm jsut curious how it looks on the ground blended in with green foliage

RE: Enigma?
PA Hardwoods. Photos looked good. Like I said different camo's in different situations. These photos showed that it is a respectable camo, in certain areas of the woods.
Mobowhuntr: You got to be kidding me with that photo. The picture is very blury and your standing behind some leaves on a tree. Come on your huring the cause with that photo, (making the enigma family look bad). If I wore my leafy gillie camo therein your photoyou wouldn't be able to pick me out......leave the convincing to Pa Hardwoods. |
RE: Enigma?
Here are those same b/w photos in color.
