Default Gorilla's hammock seat comfortable?

Please give input on this stand , comfort, functionability? Please any knowledge would be great. A store by me has them on sale. I just am wondering about the hammock style seat. If its comfortable for long periods.

The gorilla stand is just like a knock off of the ol' man tree stands from years ago. The ol' man was one of the best things going in the 90's. They ran into financial problems, but I understand they are coming back now. That stand in the ol' man line up basically was the Terra II.

With that background, I will add that I owned 3 ol' man stands ( still have one ). All had the mesh seat. It is one of the most comfortable seats I have found in a tree stand. I could sit for long periods as long as10 + hours, without fatigue setting in. The mesh would slide along the frame rail, allowing you to sit facing or away from the tree. It makes no noise, will not rot, doesn't hold water, and you can push it out of the way and stand if you want.

I was very happy with that line, and was sad when they went away for a while. But then came the Gorilla line, and now it appears Ol' man is trying again, so life is good.

I don't think you would be disappointed at all, if you bought one.

Hope this helped.

God Bless

IMO the best climber available when you consider price. It is easy and quiet to get on the tree and is a stable platform once you get up there. The seat is very comfortable. I sat onelast year all day for several days in a row and have no complaints about the seat. The only downside to the stand is you have to make sure it is tight on the tree or it will make noise when you stand up. That is the only complaint I have with it. Experience with the stand and some adjustment when you get up in the tree will fix that however. It is much more comfortable than my Lone Wolf but not as quiet or light.

Excellent! Thanks all for the replies. I was afraid to drop the money for 2 of them without knowing about the seat. Thanks again!

Tribal, I'll also recommend the stand. I own an Ol'man, have for years and it's the most comfortable stand I've ever been in. I also own the Gorilla loc on, fantastic stand.
