Anyone tried the No-Peep peep sight eliminator? See their website at www.timberline-archery.com.

I'm having trouble with my "aging eyes" and like the idea of this.

Jack, there's been a few discussions regarding the No-peep; a search should find something.

I've got one myself, and LOVE it! Has some great advantages over conventional peeps, the most important being that it will teach you to be consistent with your form/anchor. As far as helping your "aging eyes", are you having trouble seeing both the pins and target clearly at the same time? I can't help you with this situation, but perhaps someone could?

Thanks for the input on the No-peep. I had eye surgery about two years ago so I wouldn't have to wear glasses. It's fine for most things but I have a problem seeing clearly where the pins are! The pins blur slightly. In dim light, I also have problems seeing the deer sharply thru the peep I am now using. I hoped the No-peep would give me a clearer picture since I wouldn't be looking thru a regular peep sight.

if you get rid of the peep, the deer or the pins will be MORE fuzzy. A peep (if you get one small enough) can help you see BOTH clearly. IF you wish to use a small peep, get a light on your pins, and shoot with BOTH eyes open. Focus on the TARGET, the pins WILL still be clear (providing you are using your dominant eye to see the pins, and you use a small peep)
If your worried about dim shooting situations, again, look at the target with your left eye (assuming right eye dominance) and your lit pins with your right eye.
The benefit of the no-peep, is that you get an unrestricted view of the pins. Unfortunately, restricting your view correctly brings things into focus at all ranges.

I just purchased a no-peep this weekend. I couldn't be more happy with it. I get a far better view of the target without looking through my old peep. Tuning and sighting it was easy and I am shooting better than I was before. It makes a huge difference in low light compared to my peep. I will never go back to a peep sight again.

I am 65yrs. old and shoot several different bows. My wife also shoots several bows. Recently I noticed one of the noted TV hunters was NOT using a peep sight. I shopped around and found out about a product called HINDSIGHT. I contacted the inventor and discussed at length, the problem of age and eyesight. After ordering 2 of his products, my wife and I sighted in(according to inst.) our hunting bows. We now have killed 4 whitetails & 1 Axis deer. I can only tell you that we have thoroughly enjoyed shooting, when we can see without a peep sight. Hindsight has a web site, but I don't have it available.

I just got my No Peep and can already tell I'm going to love it and I haven't even mounted it on a bow yet. Just the thought of never having to use a peep sight gets me all excited.

The no-peep is an excellent product but one of the things I've noticed with myself and others is that there is a tendancy to peak. I have killed two deer with the no-peep on a bow and they are, hands down, a great hunting tool.

KIDD642, what do you mean "...there is a tendancy to peak."? Not sure what you mean....

What I mean by peak is this...since there is no longer a SEE through anchor point on the string shooters tend to peak to the left or right depending on wheather or you are right or left handed. When the rear peep sight/string peep is removed some shooters tend to drift from that anchor point and tend to &quot;PEAK&quot; to the left if you are right handed shootewr, and to the right if you are left handed shooter. Does that make sense <img src=icon_smile_question.gif border=0 align=middle>
