The Muzzymay work fine, but it sure is ugly, awefully big and gawdy, and heavy. I like my Trophy Takers andthey shoot and perform flawlessly. I have used the same Trophy taker on one of my bows for four years now. ATrophy Taker is silent when shot and there is no noisefrom a TT. Mine haveNEVER ONCEFAILED. How do you improve on it?To each his own.

Are you sure about all those comments you made there, Don? Especially the one where you said it's heavy?

You're right: To each his own -- but a lot of people don't like the hard slap of a TT coming down on the arrow shelf which has to be quieted by some form of moleskin or foam weatherstripping, nor the fact that it has a string to tie into your down cable which can affect timing. Others simply like the almost-full containment offered by the Muzzy.

Anyway... this thread isn't here to get into a battle of "my rest is better than your rest", but to open the eyes of some who may have thought before -- like I did -- that they didn't want to give the MZE a fair shot based upon its looks. Because you can tell in my initial post that I thought much the same way you did -- that is, until I gave it a chance.

ash... yes, my cables touch as well -- although barely. I'm hoping it's not enough to cause a problem, especially if I keep them waxed regularly
I have shot the MZE since 2000 I believe or whatever the first generation. I used to worry about my cables. But on a dual cam bow, I wore out string before my cable. Every few hundred shots, I might take out the slide and clean it, and wax up the cables good.

Ugly???what compund bow isn't,awfully big,not really, gawdy again look at most compound bows we shoot, heavy not really at all. Also the Muzzy performs flawlessly.I've owned several rests and will always have a MZE unless they improve them somehow, and I don't see how they could.

Hey Greg/MO!! I apologize for posting a question that completely consumed your time. However, your response was more than I could have hoped for. It was clear, concise, and to the point. I really appreciated your pictures. They probably were the coup-de-grace. I have already ordered a 600 PC for my new Guardian and can't wait to get it on the bow. Thanks again for the great information and good luck on your upcoming Elk Hunt. And thanks to all of the other respondents to my posting. They were all very helpful.

jd, I just saw where you were planning to install the MZE on the Guardian... How did that work out for you? The reason I ask is that it has appeared that that's definitely a bow NOT to try to use the Zero Effect on -- for now. Mark Land at Muzzy has told me the prototype for '08 appears to be working very well, but for now it's iffy at best with the current 600 PC...

Is the '08 prototype designed much like the Zero Effect's for the Mathews roller cable bows? I heard they would be similar to this. They would somehow connect to the down cable instead of relying on the cable slide. Is that what you heard Greg?

Donnie, that's somewhat close to what I heard... I haven't seen one yet, so it's obviously still a bit of a mystery to me at this point.

Gottcha. Well, it will definitely be interesting to see what they come up with.
