RE: PROS AND CONS ABOUT SPITFIRES
My own experience with spitfires was not good. I shot a doe at 15 yards. I found a decent blood trail but never found the doe. I didn't start to trail her for a hour and a half after I shot her. Was this the broadheads fault or mine. Maybe both. I don't think I got the penetration because of a combination of the expandable and because I was shooting a 125 grain with alluminum arrows. I have since switched to carbon arrows and another broadhead. My other buddies like them alot. They shoot the spitfires xp I think. WHO KNOWS

I believe they are called spitfires for a reason, they make ya want to spit something out of your mouth thats bad.Put the arrow in the right spot and then blame the broadheads if ya dont get resullts.

RE: PROS AND CONS ABOUT SPITFIRES
Shot the spitfires, muzzy ,thunderhead ,wac em, and wasp fixed and expandables. All on heavy bodied mature whitetails. Not on does or varmits or young bucks. Expandables plain and simple do not have the penetration of the fixed blades. Broadside close range (under 2o yds) shots. Yeah they get thru barely. Maybee. Sometimes. But never always never out and stuck in the dirt on the other side. Never in an off angle shot. Never in a shot where heavy bone is impacted. It is just the facts of physics. Fixed blades by all means if possible. Expandable under certain conditions only. But like the guy said why spend all that time and money and then handicap yourself. Get your bow shooting correctlty shoot fixed blades and maximize your chances.
