RE: climbing sticks
Depends how far apart you put them when you set them up. If I leave the set upin the tree for a period of time I will usually put 1 screw in between the sections which can get you up to 30 feet if you choose to go that high.

RE: climbing sticks
It really depends on the tree and the weather. If the tree has a lot of branches on it, I can use them to get higher. If it's early season and I am not wearing a lot of clothing, I can space the rails out farther. The lowest I have been is 18' to the platform of my stand. The highest I have been is 25' to the platform. The best thing about the rails is the ability to move them around the tree as needed to get up and around branches. I posted this picture before but here is one of my setups from last year.

Get the Lone Wolf Sticks....Nothing beats them....Add a alpha hang-on to the mixand you have the deadliest treestand setup made PERIOD! the sticks snap and wrap together tightly and don't make a peep. The Alpha Hang-on is made so you can attach the sticks for transport....AWESOME COMBO! I would however get one extra stick so you have 4 total. That will get you up to 20ft.
