SUMMIT has some awesome new climbing steps called "bucksteps". They just sent me the new 2003 catalog. These things are AWESOME. I currently use the SUMMIT SwifTree Climbing Pole. But the new bucksteps are something I will have in the deer woods this fall. Check em out.

For compactness, length and weight there is no doubt in my mind. Lone Wolf climbing sticks. They are by far the best for this. Bungie cord three of them to your stand and that should get you about 15'. Weight is about 9 lbs. 34" long and steps fold flat. Go up quick and easy as any on the market and absolutely stabile. The best I've used in 30 years. Pricey? Yeh, but you can quit looking for something better so probably cheaper in the long run.

I agree with BGfisher, you can't go wrong with
LW's sticks. I pack my stand/sticks in and out
95% of the time, most of my stand sites are
1/2 mile+ from where I park, so ease of use
and weight are very important. I, and those
I hunt with, prefer 4 sticks. Sticks are 32"
long and weigh 2 1/2lbs ea.
