Default RE: Trykon Report & Question on Quiver

Wicchunter,

Basically I was browsing the Hoyt website I think the day I bought the bow. I couldn't take it home that day since my dealer was getting it all set up for me, with all of the accessories and such. So I was looking for quivers that might work on my bow.

I came across that little note underneath the caption for the Two Piece Dura-Lite Quiver. I had asked him if this was the Trykon quiver when I bought it, he said "yeah." I don't really know if he knew what I was talking about.

I still have mine, haven't had a chance to return it. I have had the bow since November 25th, so I don't know if my dealer will exchange it. Or even if he would, I am assuming he has no clue about the Trykon style quiver and won't believe me when I say it won't fit. I didn't even bother taking it out of the package to see if it would fit.

I am not really comfortable with my dealer, so I probably won't even bring it up to him. I may just keep it and try to sell it independently.

Tell me what your dealer says about the quiver. If he doesn't agree, show him the Hoyt website and the little note under the Two Piece Quiver caption. Should clear up any problems you will have with him maybe not believing you.

Good luck!!

Bols, I'll keep you posted. Earlier in 2005... before I bought the Trykon... I'd swear that note was NOT there on their website. I read that part of their site long before I bought the quiver... I'll bet some other complaints came in and it surprised Hoyt as well. It will be interesting to see if the "specialized" quiver is orderable yet. I plan to hit the dealer early this week.... maybe tomorrow night.

Bols... I went to the dealer tonight... he knew nothing about a special quiver and called Hoyt while I was there. They confirmed a special quiver was required. He asked them how long they knew that and he was told something like a couple of weeks. He asked them when they planned to let the dealers know.... he didn't get much of an answer. Then he told them that he has a bunch of quivers to return...and they agreed to give him credit on everyone sent back. Based on that you could probably return yours.. if your dealer gives you any crap call Hoyt customer service and they may be able to help you out. My quiver is order #101 and will ship in 3 days. Sounds like they just tooled up recently.

Wicchunter,

I just read your post and wanted to thank you for the updates.

I was pretty sure that many people didn't even notice the comments under the caption for the quiver.

I am probably going to stop by the pro shop tomorrow, in an attempt to bump up the poundage on my bow. I am planning on taking the quiver in as well, hoping the guy will either refund the money I paid for the quiver or do a straight exchange for the "special" Dura-Lite Quiver.

I am sure Hoyt has worked out the problems and have fixed the Dura-Lite design so it will fit the Trykon.
