Iam looking to resume bowhuntingafter a five year break (college, marriage and moving across the country). I own a PSE Nova and it shoots great. I bought this bow when I was in high school and now it is time to upgrade. Everyone tells me to go with Mathews. Tonight I will be shooting the Mathews Switchback XT and the PSE Vengence Solocam NH at my local archery shop. Any suggestions for a new bow?

To throw another wrench into this, my Uncle owns a Mathews LX 2004 model and wants to sell it to me for $450 so he can upgrade.

I have gun hunted for 12 years (pistol, shotgun, rifle).
I have bow hunted for 5 years.

Sounds like you have been bow hunting long enough to know you're going to stick with it for years. That is the perfect recipe for buying one of the best bows on the market. Forget about theuncles 2004 bow.

If you have the time narrow 1 from each brand and then shoot all 5 of them back to back to make your final decision. I went with BowTechs binary cam systemto stay away from excessive tuning problems.
