Honestly what is the difference in a 30 dollar tru fire release from walmart and a 100 dollar scott release? I have had a Tru fire from wal mart and i think it was about thirty dollars and its worked just fine for about 6 years now

Hey if it works for you... What's the difference between a PSE and a Hoyt Trykon... Both will kill a deer!!! In my opinion the most important ingredient in all this stuff is the human component... Practice is more important than throwing money around (at least for the most part)... Having said that I played with a bunch of releases and chose the Scott little goose... Not the most expensive, but I like it.

I switched to a Scott about 5 years ago. They were on about 70 bucks then. I had a tru fire before the Scott. I found the Scott was easier to adjust for sensitivity. IMO,there was too much play in the trigger of the Tru Fire. I never was comfortable with the Tru Fire.
Ihaven't even tried another release in the last 5 years though so I don't know what is out there today.
