Not that it is important but with my hunting setup (peep, kisser, loop,) at 69 lbs. with a 390 grain arrow, I shot 297 fps. Really nice shooting bow.
Just curious, what is your draw length ?

There is 2 switchbacks 2 choose from for 2006. Reg. and long draw length.didnt get to shoot the trykon yet. they didnt have one in my draw length. they are going to get one set up for me. so tuesday ill be able to give you more of an opion on the trykon.

I shot the Tribute, Mighty Might, Trykon and Switchback.

My choice would be the Tribute. I just have to decide if it is that much better than my Defender to switch.

Tribute - Can't find anything wrong with it. Sweet bow.
Mighty Might - Also nice but not as smooth as the Tribute or Trykon.
Trykon - Didn't like the let-off or the twang sound.
Switchback - Smooth but top heavy. Didn't think it was as fast as advertised.

I am looking at the mathews switchback ld.It has a 9inch brace height.
Should be a very forgiving bow!Have not got to shoot one yet was wondering if anybody has?and what draw length they were?

I just shot the Tribute the other day at one of the local shops. Really impressive bow! No recoil during the shot and the option of either a smooth or fast module is great. You could shoot the fast module for 3D in the off season and then switch to the smooth module for hunting. Relatively quiet to boot considering the speeds it was putting out. Too bad it isn't offered in my draw length or I would have considered buying it.

Its all a matter of preferance,I preferred the Trykon and have no Twang sound. My guess would be something was loose on the bow or it had cheap plastic sights but I highly doubt that a completly redesigned Flag ship bow for such a reputable company is going to be released with a Twang. There is something else going on there.

I shot my younger brothers browing illusion. That is another smooth vibration free bow that you should look into. Not to mention the under $650 price tag. NO bow press neededto make adjustments either.
