High Country Carbon Force
I'm just getting back into bowhunting after a 2-years of being away from the sport and had a question about my bow. I have a High Country Carbon Force that seemed like a great bow when I bought it a number of years ago, however, I'm wondering if the new bows on the market are that much better.. should I think about upgrading to something like a Hoyt Vtec which I've had my eye on. My High Country has the carbon riser, the Matthews MX1 solo cam (I think), and a 3-D Silent Rover rest by Golden Key. I'm shooting around 248 fps. The other route I'm thinking of going is to just upgrade the rest to one the Trophy Ridge Drop Zone rests. I'm a serious hunter so next year the bow will get a lot of use.
Also, has anyone ever heard of the carbon risers breaking?
Thanks in advance!!!

RE: High Country Carbon Force
Sounds like that bow should be fine, your not going to get that much better performance by buying a $700 bow. 248fps is plenty fast enough to kill all the deer you need. I have killed 5 deer so far this year,4 last year with my High Country TSS and I shoot around 220fps. Its not the bow as much as the one who is shooting it that makes it a deer killing machine.....just my .02
