RE: POLL: CARBON OR ALUMINUM
Carbon's are a little more money, but if they ain;t broke . . . they shoot true.
Aluminums have taken a lot of game for me, but I'd be spending money every year to replace the bent, dented or otherwise untrue aluminums. Now I don't. I'm using the Easton Axis and have no complaints. Hunting, target, 3-D . . . doesn't matter. After first switching to carbons a few years ago, I was in the back yard practicing and misfired. (Release problem) Thearrow hit a steel verticle pipe on my dog run and put a bullet hole in the cap! The field point was slightly bent, and I am still shooting the arrow! You couldn't say that about aluminums. Carbons are much better than when first introduced and well worth the extra money. |

RE: POLL: CARBON OR ALUMINUM
Another vote for carbons. I started out shooting xx75's like most and then switched to carbons about 5 years ago. I have only had one shaft fail on me in thousands of shots. Probably because I hit something and weakened it.

Alluminum and carbon. Both have their weeknesses and strenths. I use each for different things.

RE: POLL: CARBON OR ALUMINUM
Well there's only 1 possible answer here for me and that's CARBON all the way.
