Picked up an S Coil for my bow the other day. Love the thing. However, if you use one, be sure to spray it down with scent killer before hunting. The thing smell likea rubber factory! Don't know if it would spook a deer, but you never know.

It shouldn't affect them any more than rubber boots , ever smell a rubber boot , especially a used one ? [:'(]
BTW , the rubber used on the S-Coil is the same Navcom material they use in all their other products , so if your String Leeches or Limb Savers haven't spooked them then the S-Coil shouldn't either .

I never noticed a scent on mine but I will check this evening when I head down to the shop. A simple odor eliminating solution rubbed into the rubber should help.

Mine had a light smell for a little while, I havent noticed it lately. I usually spray down my bow, pack etc.with my scent killer and cover scent before each hunt. I just sniffed mine and cant smell anything but it is about 2 months old now.

I noticed, immediately, when I opened the package to my S-coil that it had a very strong rubber odor. I've sprayed it with scent killer, still smelled. I've rubbed every green branches all over it, still smell it. BUT, it does seem like the smell is starting to disapate over time, so I guess for now, how it doesn't spook game!
Other than the smell, I really like what it doesfor my Legacy!
