ducsauce.........all of these ideas and suggestions are great. For me the biggest thing I discovered (by accident) is to not have them tight fitting. He's my example....your boots need to be 1 size to big(actual slop in front and back. To accomplish this I always have to buy them 2 sizes to big! Usually, 1 size bigger will accomadate 2 pair of socks(1 wool and 1 thin that wicks away moisture) and the next size is for space.
I learned this by accident when I forgot my boots. My buddy had some lightweight boots. I fugured I was in big trouble....it was 5 degrees below zero! They were two sizes to big and for about the first time ever my feet didn't get cold! These weren't even close to insullatedwinter boots!
