First bow
Ok i have decided it is time to get my first bow. I have two bows that i can buy. The first one is a Martin Jaguar with 36" axle to axle, 55-70 pound draw, and 28-31 inch draw for $150. My second choice is a Hoyt Youth bow with a 40 pound draw and case, quiver, and other accesories for around $100. I think I would prefer the Martin, because of the draw weights.
I would only use the bow for deer hunting. And i am 13 Years old, 5'10, 160

RE: First bow
Can you draw the Martin...relatively easily when it is set at its lowest setting. I would somewhat tend to agree that buying an adult bow at your age makes sense in that you can grow into it and save some money along the way. However, if the Martin is too long in the draw or too heavy in draw weight then you are doing nothing but hurting yourself wtih a bow that does not fit you.
