RE: Timberline No Peep
with a no-peep does it eliminate the need for a level on the sight?
what i mean does it keep your left and right centered like a level? thnks |
RE: Timberline No Peep
Manboy, when you set your NP up the first time you are trying to get a consistent anchor, consistent grip etc.Adjust your NP with the site level the first time and you wont have to worry about it.
If you are canting the bow either direction, yes the NP will tell ya that, meaning you dont have a proper grip on the bow from what you set it up to.Make sure its perfect and comfortable to YOU and everything else will just fall into place. When you draw back to full anchor, grip is perfect the little black dot will be dead centre in the yellow circle, Hope this helped answer your question:) |
RE: Timberline No Peep
yes that does help, sorry i took so long to reply. i have been sighting in with my new no-peep!:D and i think it is great! i don't know why it took me 2 years of thinking about it to just try it!
the thing i noticed right away was how fast i can get my anchor piont right on! it takes me half the time to set my anchor and have the pin on target! wow i am ready to try it in a tree!:Dthank everyone! |

man this no-peep is great, i had put a new trophy ridge sight on today and well the pro shop set it way off for the no-peep, as soon as i picked up the bow i said that isn't even close! they said just move it to where u need! i said all u have to do is look and u could get it closer than that! they gave me that[&:] look!
a few mins. later bam! right on sight!sweet!!!! |
RE: Timberline No Peep
Well, after installing and trying the No Peep for a couple of weeks........I'm dissapointed! I could not get the same results (tight groups) that I could with the peep sight. I installed the No Peep above my sight pins, followed the directions, made sure all the screws were tight, and stayed tight, reviewed the directions and still did not get the same size groups I could with the peep sight. And YES, I did see the black dot centered in the green circle when I was at anchor and when I released. So......I might give it another try in a few days, but as of this writing, I'm not the believer in this thing that the rest of you are. [:'(]

RE: Timberline No Peep
Just did some further testing last evening with the No Peep Vs the Peep sight on my string. I found, under low light conditions, that the sight pins were still quite visable thru my string peep sight, but I had difficulty seeing the black dot in the green circle on the No Peep. As my reason for using the No Peep was to be able to acquire a sight picture during those last few moments of "shooting light", I have concluded that this device doesn't meet my requirements. Thanks for the input from all you "No Peep" users. I don't mean to knock the product, it's just that it doesn't offer the improvement over the string peep sight I was looking for. Guess mine will go up for sale now.[&o]

RE: Timberline No Peep
I'm so comfortable with the No-Peep now I catch myself not even looking at it. But it's there if I need the reassurance. ;)
