Timberline No Peep
Anyone out there using the No Peep from Timberline. This devise attaches to the riser and is supposed to be a "virtual kisser button" in that it requires you to come to the same anchor point each time, thereby doing away with a peep sight and a kisser button. Theory sounds good on paper, but I'd like to hear a first hand report from any users of this product..

RE: Timberline No Peep
I got rid of my peep and put the Hind Sight II on, I love it. It works awesome. I have never tried the no peep.

RE: Timberline No Peep
I have been shooting the No-Peep for a couple of months now. I give it very high marks. I am shooting it out to 60 yards and see no discernible difference in accuracy between it and a peep. It will be going to the mountains with me this fall. The only thing I don't know about the No-Peepis its durability, but I am going to find out.

RE: Timberline No Peep
Another NP user here and I love it.Very durable.
I shoot mine to 40 yards and find myself more accurate with it then my peep.I have had one on my bows for a little over 2 years now and would never go back to a peep or kisser. Some advantages to the NP is you get the stuff off your string, making for a faster arrow flight and you will always have a consistent anchor, especially shooting out of a tree, bending at the waist. Its definately a pain to set it up your first time. Disadvantages are----If you want to put a new site on then it will have to be set up again, being that it is mounted on the riser with the site holes. You will find alot of guys here shoot them and will get a lot of responses, likes and dislikes.Do a search on the No-Peep here and you will find alot of info . Try one out,you wont be dissapointed. |
RE: Timberline No Peep
I have just nicely started to mount my no-peep on my bow ,I've spoke to many guy's here such as extreme 1 and Gibblet and Ausie Guy and they all speak very highly of them .Once I get it set up I'll be able to tell you better about the no-peep ,but as I said lot's of positive feedback on the no-peep here .

RE: Timberline No Peep
Can someone post a picture of it on their bow? I would like to see onemounted. Thanks
|
RE: Timberline No Peep
You can go to their web site and see the device mounted on a bow and also download the instructions for mounting the device.
Thanks to all for your input on this thread so far. Now I'm having to decide between the "No Peep" and the "Hindsight" What a decision !! ![]() |

Keep us posted on how it is coming along. I really like the string colors to.Blue and red.Looks pretty sharp on the bow,at least thats everyone tells me:eek: Oh and you will like the location of the NP alot better located there:) |
RE: Timberline No Peep
I like your string's Jason they do definetly look sharp ,I just hope you don't get busted while out hunting LOL.I'll be working on my bow this weekend, since I want to get to the range for a shootout with TerryM ,soI hope it's not too much off a problem.I'll definetly be prepared for one .

RE: Timberline No Peep
Extreme,
It looks like your No-Peep blocks one pin and most of your sight picture. Can the No-Peep be used with a HHA style sliding single-pin sight? I'm curious about this, but don't want to drop $35 for something that won't work with my setup. Mike |
RE: Timberline No Peep
Those HHA5500 sight's are great sight's.I'm interested in this question as well because I use a Impact Archery Cosmic for hunting season .

When I first started using the No-Peep I had an HHA single pinsight on my bow and did not get any obstruction at all. I usually set my no peeps up so they are above the pin guard and behind the riser. |

Mike Its just the angle i am holding the bow, kinda canting up.I can see all 3 pins very comfortably.Besides my pins have alot of gap.My top one is set for 20 yards and thats it for now, lots of room for the second and 3'rd pin to move up as well.I was shooting it out to 40 yards with it,but had to take it off and play with it again, just couldent leave well enough alone;) |
RE: Timberline No Peep
I set mine up ABOVE the sight and like it that way.
|
RE: Timberline No Peep
How is the no peep keep your anchor point the same.
|
RE: Timberline No Peep
 A bit lengthy to write up here. If you go to their web site you will find a full explanation as to how the device forces you to come to the same anchor point each time.
|
RE: Timberline No Peep
How is the no peep keep your anchor point the same. I have mine set up below so I can take a quick look to see if Im dead on,getting to the point now where I dont even look at it anymore, but it is a good reference point if in dought. |
RE: Timberline No Peep
with a no-peep does it eliminate the need for a level on the sight?
what i mean does it keep your left and right centered like a level? thnks |
RE: Timberline No Peep
Manboy, when you set your NP up the first time you are trying to get a consistent anchor, consistent grip etc.Adjust your NP with the site level the first time and you wont have to worry about it.
If you are canting the bow either direction, yes the NP will tell ya that, meaning you dont have a proper grip on the bow from what you set it up to.Make sure its perfect and comfortable to YOU and everything else will just fall into place. When you draw back to full anchor, grip is perfect the little black dot will be dead centre in the yellow circle, Hope this helped answer your question:) |
RE: Timberline No Peep
yes that does help, sorry i took so long to reply. i have been sighting in with my new no-peep!:D and i think it is great! i don't know why it took me 2 years of thinking about it to just try it!
the thing i noticed right away was how fast i can get my anchor piont right on! it takes me half the time to set my anchor and have the pin on target! wow i am ready to try it in a tree!:Dthank everyone! |

RE: Timberline No Peep
man this no-peep is great, i had put a new trophy ridge sight on today and well the pro shop set it way off for the no-peep, as soon as i picked up the bow i said that isn't even close! they said just move it to where u need! i said all u have to do is look and u could get it closer than that! they gave me that[&:] look!
a few mins. later bam! right on sight!sweet!!!! |
RE: Timberline No Peep
Well, after installing and trying the No Peep for a couple of weeks........I'm dissapointed! I could not get the same results (tight groups) that I could with the peep sight. I installed the No Peep above my sight pins, followed the directions, made sure all the screws were tight, and stayed tight, reviewed the directions and still did not get the same size groups I could with the peep sight. And YES, I did see the black dot centered in the green circle when I was at anchor and when I released. So......I might give it another try in a few days, but as of this writing, I'm not the believer in this thing that the rest of you are. [:'(]

RE: Timberline No Peep
Just did some further testing last evening with the No Peep Vs the Peep sight on my string. I found, under low light conditions, that the sight pins were still quite visable thru my string peep sight, but I had difficulty seeing the black dot in the green circle on the No Peep. As my reason for using the No Peep was to be able to acquire a sight picture during those last few moments of "shooting light", I have concluded that this device doesn't meet my requirements. Thanks for the input from all you "No Peep" users. I don't mean to knock the product, it's just that it doesn't offer the improvement over the string peep sight I was looking for. Guess mine will go up for sale now.[&o]

RE: Timberline No Peep
Love the NO PEEP !!
|
RE: Timberline No Peep
I'm so comfortable with the No-Peep now I catch myself not even looking at it. But it's there if I need the reassurance. ;)
