Another Tilapia trip....
#1
Well, on sunday, me, Jessie and Cousin-Neal headed down to Calaveras for another Tilapia safari.
We shot two from the boat, then we tried some bank fishing and got 8 more.
While we were tooling-over to check out some other spots, we heard some intermittent thunder-boomers from the north, becoming more frequent and moving closer as the wind changed directions... time to get the heck off of the lake!
Here's me and Cousin-Neal ready to embark with Jessie behind the camera (Cousin-Neal's the chunky fellow on the left)

And here's an action shot, with Jessie working the trolling motor and Neal keeping a weather-eye out for Wampus-Frogs.

Here's what we saw heading our way...

And here's the view as we headed back for the ramp as quickly as possible, though speed was limited as we were loaded-down with 'fat men and iron'...

And finally, filleting out our paltry catch... that sorry Jessie only got one, and it was blind in one eye... the side he shot it on! Neal got four, but I'm sure there was alot of luck involved. Mine were all unlucky fish too, I reckon.

Weather washed us out pretty thoroughly this trip, but next time, well, there's always next time...
