What’s up everyone? Bowfishing season is quickly approaching! The date for the 2008 Houston Bowfishing Classic is Saturday, June 21st, 2008 from 8 AM to 8 PM. The check-in will once again be at Zimpfer Construction in Yeoman, IN. I’ve been hustling and bustling around to find sponsors for this year’s tournament and have found some new ones. The rules for this year’s tournament will be the same except that if you shoot a pond it has to drain into a tributary of the Wabash. The entry fee is $25/person or $50/team. Last year we had a lot of “no-shows,” so I am depending on all of you to spread the word. I have been campaigning for a year now and believe I have brought several more teams. I also have the tournament listed on the BAA (Bowfishing Association of America) website and will be sanctioned by them. Payouts will be determined once again by the number of teams entered. We will be donating to our national organization Fishing Has No Boundaries once again. It is an organization out of Monticello that takes people with special needs boating and fishing. I am still looking for as many sponsors as possible to make the tournament more attractive for everyone. If you know of anyone, contact me at 765-714-4638. Below is a pre-registration form that you can send in with payment to confirm your place in the tournament. Please fill this out and send your money so I can roughly determine how many people to expect. If you find someone who wants to shoot, make them a copy of the registration or contact me and I’ll send you one. Pre-registration is required! Please respond ASAP so I can know what to expect. If you are unable to RSVP let me know. I’m sure I will allow teams to shoot after the deadline if they are new or contact me personally. SPREAD THE WORD! You know how much fun it was last year and how much fun we had afterwards. Please return the RSVP and money by June 14th.
