RE: Shark Bowfishing in the Florida Keys??
Hey sharky, worldwide populations may be down, but Florida's is way up. The State has almost banned commercial sharking and the population has exploded over the last few years. With a recreational bag limit of one per person and max of two per boat, sportsmen don't scratch them either. We lose many game fish to sharks every year. Put out some chum and you're surrounded. I have been chased out of the water several times while cast netting for mullet.

There's over 360 species of shark in the world. It's easy for some species to increase while others are still in trouble. Some sharks grow and reproduce fast and benefit from the lack of other bigger sharks around. The sharpnose and bonnetheadare twoof those.
