I want to put an openfaced reel on a bow to shoot carp , anyone got a rig idea?

you dont want to use and openface, that might get dangerous. just get you a zebco 808 with all metal berrings

The only way is to use a hoop reel or a Retriever with it.

What is a 'Thumpertized' bowfishing reel?

It is a spinner, mostly Zebco 808's and Synergy 4003's. I take and open the hole in the front over twice as big as stock and add a ring , do some polishing add stainless pick up pins and drag washers to make the drag put out more preasure. I can do any spinner and have done most on the market. I can't seem to post pics here but you can ( I hate to do this) my ad on Bowfishusa.com or pm me. Hopefully I will have a website up and running soon. There will be several people at the Worlds tourny shooting my reels. I gurantee them to shoot better than their stock counterparts.
