I am in wisconsin and am looking to do some carp shooting in the fox river by magwonigo (sp) I will be doing this by boat it is flooded and has the tress and marsh grass along the banks flooded. But I have never done this this early and am wondering good spots to find them and get them. Should I cruz the flooded edges or ? thanks

I'd say look everywhere. If I'm not finding fish I try something different. It's all process of elimination. Look for patterns in where and when you see the fish. Just last week we got out and I figured I'd cruise the shorelines thinking they'd be up sunning themselves. Didnt' see anything. Finally found them out in the middle on a hump with just a few weeds. If the weeds got thicker, they weren't there. If the bottom turned to gravel, no carp. As the day got later they started moving shallow.

Might wanna check your regs too because in WI, on certain rivers and bodies of water seasons close on them for a little while around now till third week of april. Reasonis for buffalo spawning time. I dunno what the Fox is for season but the Mississippi where weshoot is closed around march 1sttill about april 20th. WCL
