We went out today looking for some gar but the weather was not to great
the temp was about 60 and it was windy and very cloudy. we couldnt find the gar today but we ran in to a whole bunch of tilapia. We just couldn't
get a view of the fish because the water was turned up. we took about 30 or 40 shots, no dice though. hey thats the way it goes sometimes. We also came across a floater, about an 8 foot gator that was floating on his
side, so we pulled the boat up next to him and tried to roll him over, he was on his way out but he was not fully dead yet, he kicked his back legs when we tried to move him. It was a tough situation, ya hate to see any animal suffer, : even the worst of predators, since you cant carry a firearm
on the water we had to let it happen.

If you wanted to keep the gator, would there be a way to get a tag from the fish and game department for him?

How big were the tilapia you saw?
