I don't know if you can find fish in October......but early season from May 1 to July 1,its AWSOME. I had a bowfishing tournament there in June and it was fabulous.......big average fish. We got second place for Big 5.....110 lbs. the winners had 130 lbs......26 lb. average. Its really fun!
Give it a try!

You should still be able to find fish in October. It just takes some time to pattern them this time of year. Start off by looking in the areas that they are normally at in the summer and work from there.

I was just out yesterday on a lake in NW MN and had pretty good action for October. Took a while to find fish, they were farther out than usual but the weeds were dying back and the water was undisturbed so visibility was good. Shooting carp during the day, hunting whitetails in the evening- life is good!!
