Default night bowfishing??

i was just thinking. in most of the pics that i've seen on here about bowfishing, most of the boats had big lights and a generator. it might sounds stupid but would the large chemical light sticks work if you actually put them into the water? like hung them from a string or something? i was just wondering. i thought it might work but wasn't sure.

I don't know if that would work. You really need a bright concentrated light. I have seen people use marine batteries and 12volt lights with success.

We have used everything from a generator with spots down to flashlights but for a beginner, I wwould recommend cordless spotlights and extra batteries...a couple will help.

sorry one last thought i would get a 12 volt not a rechargeable in my experiences they discharge to fast in 20 minutes or so and dont give much longevity to the shoot......

If you could rig up a piece of conduit or something to hold the spotlight it would be better. There's always followup shots to be had for the spotter.
