Hi,
I'm new to shooting a in line. The first time I shot my Knight Disc 50 I used T/C1000 on the breech plug. The plug came out ok after shooting the rifle about 20 times.
But now after reading some old post,I haven't read about anyone that uses T/C1000 on the breech plug threads. It's the stuff that you would put on a patch shooting a round ball.
What type of thread grease should I use on the plug or do ya'll think that the T/C1000 is good to use?
I saw that Cabela's sell's a grease,called The Stik for breech plugs.
What do ya'll think of the The Stik?

Depends on your choice of powder & how much you use.
With 777 being the hottest blackpowder sub, the Stik and CVA Breechplug & Nipple Grease are the best (in my opinion) with magnum 777 powder charges.

T/C 1000 is for lubing conicals and patches for roundball. Some people use it to protect their rifles from rusting after use. I like a more modern approach with a quality gun oil in that department, but that is an entire new discussion.
My favorite breech plug lube is CVA Breech Plug and Nipple Grease. A little trick even though I have never seemed to have any problems with my Knight rifle is after about seven to ten shots just take and twist the breech plug back and fourth to make sure it is not seizing.

T7 and Cayugad are right although it is a good product 1000 does not prevent the seezing of breech plugs. I use another product from T/C called Gorilla Grease. It works well for me I have always got my plugs out with little problems. I will try other greases when I finish up this tube in like 100 years. lol..
