I am looking for a good muzzleloader. A good local gunshop has a used stainless omega, gray thumbhole stock, with 4x scope. They are asking $379. I this a good price? Look like I can get a new one for around $500. The said if I wasn't happy with the performance they would give me a store credit. I have several muzzleloader in the $150- $250 price range and would like somthing nicer. Not sure I want to spend the money for an encore. Any advice apreciated

Sounds like a great price to me. I just got a new synthetic one with SS, for $400.

That is a GREAT price used... Not to mention a VERY GOOD price new. I paid $500 for mine new and thought I got a very good deal.

That sounds like a great price if the gun looks like it is in good shape.I paid $409 for mine without the thumbhole stock.Look down the barrel before you buy it and make sure it is clean.And with them willing to give you a store credit if you aren't happy,it sounds like a win-win situation.

Where is this shop?If you don't want it,I do.The stock is worth about 250 alone.
