Default Question on the CVA Eclipse

I saw an add that had the Eclipse Hunter 209 Magnum Kit for $119. Would you recommend this gun as a present to someone that has never hunted with BP.

My brother has mentioned wanting a BP and I thought this may be something to get him into it. I really don't want to break the bank but I don't want to get him junk either.

I was never much for CVA, years ago they had such a problem with springs breaking and I guess the stigma has just stayed with me.

It was Bass Pro that had the kit for $119. I'll probably get one, who know I might like it and need to buy another for myself. This is starting to look expense maybe I'll buy myself the gun and just get him socks and underwear instead. <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

The CVA rifles are an excellent value for the $$$ spent and I find them to be rather deadly regarding accuracy. I have an Eclipse models in .54 Caliber and would not hesitate to take it on an expensive hunt that is far away. This is one of four CVA inlines that I own and all four will shoot with any other muzzleloader I have seen or tried.
