whats the T/C twist of this ML?

hello all, I have a T/C traditional Muzzleloader that is a 50. and it has a longer barrel 32" and I was told it is a Match rifle. guy I got it from said it was for balls only but curios if anyone here knows anything about it? thanks ted from ma.

Many of the barrels are stamped what their twist is. It would also suggest from the length this might be an after market barrel. Green Mountain Barrel Co. makes a 32" barrel that will drop right into the stock of the Thompson Center Hawkins.
If it is a standard Thompson Center barrel it would have a 1:48 twist. They were meant to shoot roundball and conical. By your statement of it is a roundball barrel I am guess it is a 1:66 or 1:70 twist barrel after market barrel.
I know Thompson Center years back made some custom rifles in Hawkins I believe. They still had a 1:48 twist as I remember....

FYI...TC's round ball barrels are 1:66" twist, sold by TC's Fox Ridge store...and they are stamped "1:66" Round Ball Twist" on the right side of the barrels...they no longer offer them in the .45cal, but still offer them in .50 and .54 calibers...I have a few
