I have shot the shockwaves out of my wolverine but I found other projectiles that do much better. If the rifle is hitting 3" high at 60-70 yards there is no telling where the thing would actually hit out there. I personally would tune to to 1 inch high at 50 yards and you should be close to dead on at 100 yards.
You really need to shoot it at longer distances to see what the projectile is actually doing.

My 22" Wolverine LK-93 uses #11 caps. If I load that with 80 grains of Goex FFFg and a 250 grain Barnes Expander the rifle shoots excellent. O was shooting the new RED DOT that I put on it. The light was perfect for the 3MOA dot and at 75 yards this is the group it shot.... That is a 2" group. I think I could push the Barnes a little harder and intend to try now that season is over. I think I could get them as high as 100 grains and they would still hang in there. I also want to get some of the 300 grain expanders and see how they shoot. The Wolverine likes big heavy bullets for some reason....
At 25-35 yards it shoots a hole for a group. Since my longest shot is about 75 yards, I feel pretty good about hunting with the rifle. It also does real well with 240 grain Thompson Center Mag Express XTP's.

RE: wolverine?
eddie,
I'm shooting a Knight USAK with #11s (which is the same barrel and action as the Wolverine). I tried the 300gr SSTs with 80gr of 777 and got VERY tight groups at 50 yards and 1MOA accuracy at 100yds.
Cayugad is right (as usual ), 1 inch high at 50 is usually REAL close to dead zero at 100. In taking a guess, I'd estimate that 3in high at 70yds would put you zeroed around 150yds. Don't take that opinion to the bank, but it should be close enough to kill anything bigger than a varmint.
