Default Home Made Accouterments?

I love to make things with my hands. I would love to hear of things that you people have made as a usefull toll or addition to your black powder accouterments

Pictures allways help but basic description to detailed planes are great as well. If you don't want to post here, I would be very gald to give you my email.

Nothing like the feel and sense of accomplishment when you make something that is functional and works...

Hope to hear from lots of you

bowjock:

I bought a new, solid aluminum, replacement ramrod. I also purchased solid brass bar ¾ inch thick. Then I spun down the brass and made a custom end for the ramrod (.522 outside diameter). Drilled out the end, spun down the ramrod, and fit it into the new custom brass end. Drilled it horizontally, and inserted a small pin, then shinned everything up on the lathe.

The result: A custom made ramrod for the .54 cal. It does not flat spot balls, or conicals. Also works great with sabots and powerbelts, better than anything you can buy.

I've made ball and shooting bags, ball starters, loading blocks, etc. Didn't follow plans, just looked at an item and copied it, more or less.
