CVA Hunterbolt Magnum
I purchased a CVA hunterbolt mag about 2 years ago and have only used it 3 times. I plan on getting more serious about blackpowder hunting this season. I recently put a scope on it and plan on sighting it in soon. Does anyone else use this rifle and if so what loads do you use and is it a fairly accurate rifle? Last year i used two 50 grain pyrodex pellets and a 295 grain powerbelt bullet. I didnt take alot of time to really shoot it on paper to see how it grouped and ended up missing a nice doe. I really like the powerbelts because they load really easily unlike the saboted pistol bullets i tried. Any suggestions on a good set up with this rifle would be appreciated.

RE: CVA Hunterbolt Magnum
I have had mine for about 3 years now and use the same load and bullet you mentioned. I can hit a gallon milk jug at 100 yds with open sights it came with. In SD we are limited to open sights only during the ML season. It has taken 3 deer now.
