I sighted my Knight in for 100yds with open sights by being 2" high at 50yds.
I am limiting any shot I take with open sights to be under 100yds.
Next season if I use a scope and 150gr I may go out further. But with open sights I think even 100yds may be a little long in low light conditions.
I will be use my 270 with a scope for long range shooting.

I sight in to shoot 2 to 2 1/2 inches high at 50meters - which usually leaves me less than an inch high at 100yds. At this level, I figure I would be able to hit anything raccoon-size or larger at anywhere from 25 to 125yds with good consistancy.

I use open sights at 100yrs , but have it hitting about 1/4in low because I find it to be Dead on from a TreeStand at 20' high... only missed one Deer because it saw me moving as I squeezed the triger...But it was still a Great Hunt...
