Thinking of buying an Omega and trying to decide between blued and stainless. Is the stainless they use bright or more subuded? I like the idea of stainless, but don't want the old bright/reflective type and haven't seen one in person. Will be ordering it from Cabelas since I have come Cabelas "bucks" to spend.

It's a matte stainless finish. Certainly not polished stainless. A "french gray" would be better, but also costlier apparently.

I just purchased a stainless Omega and I would describe it like Underclocked did or a matte gray. Have not had a chance to shoot it yet but I have everything ready except the scope!

I agree. Just bought one, camo/SS, cost was $389. Barrel is not shiny at all. Great weapon. NUNK
