2002 muzzleloader buck

This is the 174lb 8pt I shot in February 2002.
It was a cold and windy day as I was still hunting slowly down a knee deep creek. I was easing along in the water when I caught a glimpse of antlers sticking up above the grass about 25 ft. from me. I eased out my grunt tube and made one soft grunt. The buck rose up out of its bed as I eased the gun to my shoulder. This was definatly the closest shot I have ever made on a whitetail.
