Years ago I had a .45/70 and use to reload for it. I still have a variety of bullets for it and was wondering if they are safe to use in an T/C Omega .50 cal. I have the following bullets
.45 cal (.458) 300 gr Softpoint
.45 cal (.458) 405 gr Softpoint
.45 cal (.458) 500 gr Lead Cast
Also, would the black sabots still work?
Thanks,
Sthutch

I don't think the .458 rifle bullets will work, because pistol bullets are .452 and wouldn't be able to get them down the barrel. My 700ml and Huntsman both load hard enough withe the .452s. Zeak

Knight marketed some sabots for .457/.458 bullets. I think they were orange.

Kind of hard to find those babies!

Underclocked,
Thanks for the info and the link. I am looking forward to developing a load for these bullets. By the way, what is "HA"?
If anyone has additional comments or experience, please let me know.
Thanks again!!!!
