Well my NULA at around 7lbs (ready to hunt) shooting a 275gr bullet over 2200fps aint all that bad. It does get your attention at 2400fps though. Running the numbers through its surprisingly less because i can achieve that speed with just 58gr of powder and only 43gr for the 2200ish fps load.

Strange how the same person always cries foul when he is the one that started tossing around the names first. Happens quite often when you have no facts to refute other facts. Once again you failed to read the post correctly. They DO allow upto 150gr by volume of real black. I even provided the link so you can read it for yourself. The crime of slander was never committed here today.

does say never to exceed 150gr of real black.
Maybe if you were not so fast to make baseless accusations and actually read what was posted we would not need to go over this again? Traditions took the high road by referring you to the powder manufacturers max load data. That data is reflected in their own max rating. Im not sure how i can explain it any easier than that.

Decided on the CVA Accura Nitride. Brand new for $275 can’t beat that price. Should be ready to go for second phase of the rut which usually starts end of bow season/first week of black powder where I hunt.

That really is a great price! The Accura should serve the purpose... Hope you have a great season!

Firing 110 gr . with a PRB in a decent Hawken rifle only cocks the hammer if something is wrong : like a burned out, poor nipple, weak hammer spring.

Got one with it. Great shooting gun. Very nice upgrade from what I previously had. Turning the breech plug with your fingers is a lot easier than having to use a socket lol

Congratulations JG. Nice buck.
Give us the details - how far, did he drop or run?

Seen the deer for about 5 minutes acting weird. Then I realized it was a buck and he was rubbing some trees which made since cause all could his head go up and down back and forth. He finally stepped out to feed roughly 70 yards. He dropped. The primary rut has already occurred in our area almost 2 months ago. They young does and does that weren’t bred should be ready to go in heat any moment now. Have a nice 8 that’s around but he’s nocturnal and pretty invisible.

Congratulations on a nice Florida buck and a nice rifle.
I hope that you get to shoot many more.
What load did you shoot it with?
