My gawd man - what are you shooting with those monsters, bison? Can your shoulder handle a couple hundred shots with 600gr slugs?

Holy crap, and here I thought 12ga turkey loads were bad...

If you fire those regularly with that powder volume, keep checking that barrel for bulges at the breech-area and wear heavy goggles to stop flying nipples..... maybe even warn the guy shooting next to you at the range, about a possible flying drum.

Pedersoli's mold for a Gibbs is 500gr-520gr IIRC for a 45cal. 600gr in a White 50cal barrel aint that bad. Around 100gr of Swiss isnt uncommon in the Gibbs. Them White barrels are pretty tough and some are really large OD too.

Doc actually recommended 120gr of Pyro P with the 600gr Power Punch. http://whitemuzzleloading.com/best-loads/

Velocity/Energy?Bullet
paths of 503/600 PowerPunch fired over 120
grains Pyrodex P in a White Super 91
