Pedersoli's mold for a Gibbs is 500gr-520gr IIRC for a 45cal. 600gr in a White 50cal barrel aint that bad. Around 100gr of Swiss isnt uncommon in the Gibbs. Them White barrels are pretty tough and some are really large OD too.
Doc actually recommended 120gr of Pyro P with the 600gr Power Punch. http://whitemuzzleloading.com/best-loads/ Velocity/Energy?Bullet paths of 503/600 PowerPunch fired over 120 grains Pyrodex P in a White Super 91 ![]() |
