Default Encore questions

1-After I shoot my encore,I have to pull the hammer back and pull the trigger again to get the action to open(or pull the release and smack the barrel with my hand).I have cleaned the fire pin and this still happens.I use CCI 209 primers.

2-Iwould like to have the trigger adjusted to 3lbs. and no local gunsmith can do it.Has anyone had any experence with Virgin Valley Arms? I am thinking of sending it to them. Thanks.

Can' t help you with question 1. For question 2 you can go to the web site I will list below and you can do it yourself. It is really easy and he gives very clear step by step instructions that you can follow online or print off. I was amazed how easy it was to do. Plus it let you learn the ins and out of your own gun. Well good luck in what ever you decide.

CD,
Where are you located? If you are in the mid-Maryland area I can recommend someone to work on your Encore.

Who do you have in mind Steve? Could you give me his contact information and tell me where he is located?
I live in Harford County and I need somebody to take a look at my Encore. You might have seen my post a couple of weeks ago which had diagnosed my loose barrel problem to be an undersized hinge pin (or oversized hinge pin holes!). After talking with T/C and having two alternate hinge pins sent to my house, my barrel is still as loose as ever. I' d like to get some help with this.

Thanks in advance!
