Speer DeepCurls Back in stock
Hey All,
Looooong time since I last posted. No time for the interwebz these days.
Anyway, I have not had any luck finding DeepCurls for the past couple
of seasons. Just wanted to let y'all know that they are now available at the usual retailers (Midway, Natchez, etc). I ordered a few hundred which should last me a good while).
Have a good day!

They have a .451x230 CF that I have been using for awhile now.
This picture shows a target I was shooting when I first got some of the bullets in the mail.
This probably doesn't effect you but the has been designed to be able to be shot from a even a 1-48 twist barrel. With that in formation I had to try it...
The ballistics shows this bullet has the numbers to be a really effective projectile as well as providing extremely good Terminal Ballistics.
Shoots equally well form this rifle also...

Rough idea of the velocity in the Renegade and the charge you used? Im only guessimating but it seems the muzzle velocity will need to be up there a little for the 1-48.
Kwk estimates a .660" long bullets needs around 1750fps to be solidly in the "green". I know the Lehigh 230gr is longer than that but most of its mass is in the rear.

You are correct the weight is at the rear...
All I know is they shot great and I remember going in 'I wonder'
There was not even any hint of wobble with the 230's at the target on the other hand the 452x240 did show wobble at the target when shot from the 1-48 twist Renegade.
