This 260g 458 bullet was sent by BuckDoeHunter. Two version were sent. One sent as purchased; the other was annealed. Annealing was done to make the bullet soft enough to resize for shooting sabotless.
The standard bullet was caught by the fifth jug. A petal was caught by the third jug. The first two jugs were destroyed. Powder charge was 80 grain Blackhorn. Distance to the trap was 25 yard. Judging by the weight of the two pieces, it appears the whole bullet was captured.

Then the annealed bullet was shot. Powder charge was 80g Blackhorn, and distance was 25 yard. About half of this bullet was caught. A search using a metal detector failed to find the rest. The smaller piece was found in the third jug. The larger piece was caught by the fourth jug. The first two jugs were destroyed.

I thought they were designed to break the petals off. You would think 80gr at 25 yards would be more than enough speed to break them all off as they are designed to do. Still a pretty good result. Just a little bit of a let down that it didn't fully function as designed.

Guys who have tried to get the CEB 40cals to shoot in SMLs with sabots have had tons of problems. I tend to shy away from monolithic bullets with small HPs,,,, at least at smoker speeds.
There are numerous pages on Dougs of guys who have tried and most have been total failures even in twists faster than 1-20. Chasing the high BC dragon is the cause of the vast majority of this problem. You aint gunna get there with a big honikng HP.
TB is on the CEB bandwagon now promoting the 44cal CEBs mostly. He hardly touches on the topic of need for speed with these bullets. "Free stuff" and sponsorship has clouded his objectivity once again.
