Default Rifle Scope Sight Picture

Where do you focus when shooting through a scope? On the target or crosshairs?

I only focus on the target. If the scope is setup properly everything should be clear.

most GOOD scopes are adjustable for focus, as many times it can change as distances do
a properly set up scope, you adjust, so BOTH are clear, as honestly you want to be able to see where your putting bullets to both be SAFE and accurate!

If the scope is 'good', the image of the reticle, and the image of the target, are both in the same place; 'out there'. When one is focused on one or the other, one is focused on the other too. This is why scopes work good for old folks, that cannot focus close, that cannot focus on the front iron sight.

What i do is focus on both the target, and the cross hair simultaneously, because i can, because they are in the same place.

______

Left eye on the crosshair and the right eye on the target?

Don't confuse focus with parallax.

I was going to say that but was lazy. If you can adjust the focus on the target you're adjusting the parallax.
