Default Off topic. Expert qualification

Excuse the off topic but I received a letter from my son today. He has 1 month left of boot camp before graduation . I was proud to find out he qualified at expert level in firearms with a 323 out of possible 350 . Ranges were 200 , 300 and 500 yards . I may have a hard time out shooting him any more but I felt good because I think all the practice I made him put in growing up payed off . All my kids learned to hunt with a muzzle loader and I think knowing they only had one shot helped them to make that one shot count. Plus they were not allowed to hunt unless they could put 3 in a row in the bull before the hunt . anyway I think I better go practice for the next month so we can have a little competition shoot when he gets back

Congrats to him, that is no small accomplishment!

I know my son can out-shoot me... I'm not gonna deny it. LOL
And he has much less range time than I do... more natural ability I guess.

Chet, we sure admire the boy, and are thankful for his service. Couldn't be more proud if he were our own.

When our son was 6, he went out with, to shoot my father' old Stevens Crack Shot. He shot it better than i ever did his first time out. Guess that shows what a good teacher i was........
