Excuse the off topic but I received a letter from my son today. He has 1 month left of boot camp before graduation . I was proud to find out he qualified at expert level in firearms with a 323 out of possible 350 . Ranges were 200 , 300 and 500 yards . I may have a hard time out shooting him any more

but I felt good because I think all the practice I made him put in growing up payed off . All my kids learned to hunt with a muzzle loader and I think knowing they only had one shot helped them to make that one shot count. Plus they were not allowed to hunt unless they could put 3 in a row in the bull before the hunt . anyway I think I better go practice for the next month

so we can have a little competition shoot when he gets back
