Hey guys, I bought a cva optima v2 nitride a couple of months ago because an online retailer had a clearance sale and the deal was to good to pass up. Had to get all the accessories a few at a time so I just shot it a couple of weeks ago. Thanks to the information I received from you gentlemen sighting in was hassle free and I have a load for hunting season next year. Barnes 250gr with 110gr of BH209. I put an old scope I had to get a tight group at 75 yds. I like open sights so I am going to install a peep sight and practice. Thanks for all your knowledge.

Welcome. This forum is full of many knowledgeable "gentlemen". Congrats on your muzzleloader. I think you'll find that shooting black powder guns starts to become addicting because they are so much fun.

Welcome! Your Optima seems to like the same load as my Wolf. 250gr T-EZ Barnes on top of 110 gr. of BH209.

Be sure to keep practicing and make sure your breechplug and primer choices can remain 100% reliable in any type of weather - in regards to using Blackhorn 209.
